For this assignment, I decided to make the map from the Minecraft "Skyblock challenge", which is an iconic Minecraft survival map where the entire map has been deleted and the player only has access to a small patch of grass, a single tree, and a chest with a few specific items. From this precarious position, it is possible to beat the game even though it can be difficult.
The Skyblock challenge is famous in the MC community and it is one of the maps I first tried with friends, which is why I decided on it.
I made custom textures in Substance painter and used material instances in Unreal for each block. I also added wind to the shader for the leaves so that they would sway slightly. Here's what the Master Block Material looks like in the material editor:
